Folks,
Travis has been extremely ill a number of years now.
Last night he was not expected to survive till daybreak
He did - and rallied a bit
The rally won't last long, we know - but Bud & Travis will
Rosemarie and Travis family are with him in Arizona.
Never easy . . . this one is hard - very hard

Travis has been extremely ill a number of years now.
Sorry to hear this. I remember him not only from "Scotch and Soda", but he was also the emcee at an open mike I performed at back in the day. He was very gracious and encouraging.

Likely, many of us aren't aware of the seminal influence of
Bud & Travis, but I wager Gord certainly is . . .
Fundamental artists, especially introducing Spanish language
folk music to a wide English speaking population . . .
the beautiful kind - the ballads akin in flavor to *Miguel*
The Bud & Travis ballads rang out in the late 50s . . .
