Wildly great to see this.

I'll just keep saying this. Will someone, close to Gord, convince him to do a Gordon Lightfoot DVD. GORD's GOLD Songbook. Bring all the videos he can find from 60's and 70's ..get him to comment on songs. remix Dolby. 5.1 where possible etc etc

WOW. The world is waiting.

This vid is new for me and I am just setting here in heaven watching it.

just wow

as we wait one of the consolations is we have youtube lists like this thread: http://www.corfid.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=19316

i say wow also, as in "wow, they show as much lead guitar as they do on that Reno dvd" (ie. none)

i know what you mean, John...Blue Rodeo won a juno for best DVD compilation which is pretty much what you described...now i am watching a DVD set of old Genesis footage from 1970-75 including Dolby 5.1 performances from British and German tv plus interviews and analysis from the songwriters dissecting each album during that period)..it's kinda like the Gord Songbook Liner Notes (x 50!)...i dont' think Gord like to look at his TV archives anymore than he likes to watch his acting footage...i could see him only approving something like this once he's wound down and looking for additional income for family to benefit from down the road...he has said he won't care about this sort of thing (like selling out to car commercials, etc) when he's gone ...with that said, i'm in no rush to see the collection

Believe it or not, I remember watching that program live. It was great... I remember GL had a "funny" line about the guitarst Ravi Shankar... At least GL was honest...

Thanks for posting that vid.

Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Did this come from an official release of this episode? I know the Sundown performance is commercially available, so I'm thinking if this performance of IYCRRM came from some kind of official release, the rest of the show might be available too. Anybody know?
