My Lightfoot journey which began in early 2005 is really heading for a close. With this week's purchase of Shadows I now have all albums up to and including Salute. I bought all of them in order except for Salute which I broke my chronological rule to buy. I was a bit obsessed after hearing Knotty Pine.

Endless Wire for me, was a bit of a disappointment but Dream Street Rose was an inprovement. However, Shadows I think is a big step up. I've given it a couple of listens and I think it is classic Lightfoot.

So now, I've got East of Midnight, Waiting For You, A Painter Passing Through and Harmony left. Oh and the Songbook rarities.

Hey "Young Stranger" , I know the feeling of,like all of us,collecting GL.

I still need 5 of the CD version of his LPs but in Dec. of 2002 I completed a 4 month quest to find all his LPs on vinyl. :)

I have 7 on cassette :

The very 1st UA "Best Of Gordon Lightfoot" 1969/70 (Stage shot with left side profile.)
Don Quixote
Gords Gold
Shadows
East Of Midnight
Gords Gold 2
and 2002's "Complete Greatest Hits". <----- An incredible find considering "new" cassettes were few at that time.

Good luck!
