for any who don't normally check out the Small Talk section, rm has cleverly coordinated a showdown and the final 4 have been arrived at - make your vote count

jj,

I appreciate the publicity. I fear that the matchups may require some sort of overtime period. Gawd, I hope not.

I like all those poll songs!!! No offense to my Aunt Bea  but I thought for sure "Old Dan's" would be an option.

Nah... Gord plays old Dan almost every show. I always like that album and it does kind of anchor around that song.

I wonder about Aunt Bea being the best he could do in that verse...

jj,

my pleasure, i'm forever indebted for your comment about my musicianship...btw, no, i dont read music...it's my left hand i look at when i play, in the hopes that it's landing somewhere in the same key as my right...the main reason i looked stressed out throughout was that i was transposing on the fly ...not fun at all when you've been partying...and playing in B and E is never fun for me

ok, i think the sporting event that needs to decide this is "Pinata"

we need to put the 4 into a canoe- shaped one and all have a go at it with a paddle smacking...last song to fall out is the victor!

have the polls closed or are we still waiting for the Florida vote to come in?

Dang it, jj !! You're late to party once again. Why didn't you reply to my post in a reasonable fashion. I have great admiration for those that have natural pitch ("Canary Yellow Canoe" lovers need not apply). You must have some more stuff out there for us to enjoy. C'mon....."Set it free'......

Pinatas will be used as a last resort. Overtime first.

You must have some more stuff out there

all ended up in a pinata...you know, it's "yesterday's news"

...old musicians don't die
...they just end up playing for old people & toddlers

btw, your youtube premiere still awaits you:clap:

that's quite a segue from On the High Seas, lol

perhaps just a coincidence that Gord quit drinking shortly thereafter

Gord once said something like, "I was getting pretty pie-eyed at that point ...and it was getting tougher to string a guitar with one hand while holding a beer in the other"
