Hey Folkies,

When Barry sent this video to me, I didn't notice a song was present also

[I keep my laptop *muted* to avoid the dreaded *whistles & bells*]

We'd been talking the night before about the wonderment of
One Soul coming alongside Another in time of need.

Hence, the video . . .

[which my buddy Wayne tells me was filmed on Kona,
near where he used to operate an eatery: Doug's Diner]

This particular *One Soul alongside Another* was part of The Ironman Triathlon

It's the *VIDEO* Barry wanted to share, so 'mute' away . . .

*Intentional Uplifting* [accidental proselytizing - sorry]

PS: Thanks for the 'heads-up'

wonderful video footage...i really love the dingy footage...i eventually muted the audio but i got the gist of it...thanks

yes, Dick & Rick Hoyt....being witness to moments like this in person takes it to another moving level...a bit of a digression here but related: i went along to make a video of two separate outings for our organization and it was really something to witness...one was where severely handicapped folks were taken sailing on modified 'solo' vessels and another was taken them to a ranch, again, highly modified...that was actually out char's way (Uxbridge)...i would love to post the resulting videos and the music i used to blend with the images but i'd have to get all sorts of clearances from next of kin's, etc, etc...many of the subjects of the video are no longer with us which makes the Joy they experienced (and captured) on those outings all the more treasured...many of the disabled I encounter are people of faith and others are not, either way much of their strength seems to come from within...the support of family and friends is so key...often the family only surfaces in the dying days, disheartening

Today on the phone, my cousin Debi told me that she had been talking to her ex-husband about going to see deer. She hadn't done that for a while. So he found a place and came and got her and took her out there and they counted 31 deer. She said it was only about 2 miles from where she lives and she didn't even know they were there. She is the closest to my age of all my girl cousins. Last December she told me that she has cancer. It's in her brain, kidney, liver, etc. She is very beautiful.

I am so sorry to know this, Patti -sending my best thoughts/prayers. -Pam
