In response to my previous thread, it would be a great idea to give Gordon a few ideas of which songs to cover, you never know he may just listen to our suggestions.

How about:

Guy Clark's Boats to build

Townes van Zandt Poncho & Lefty

Jack Hudson 2 hours from Canada

How about studio versions of Nighttime and Athabasca Lady, songs he wrote in the 90s and 2000s but has never recorded. When he covers songs now days, they seem to be from more obscure artists (ie. Steve McEown). Perhaps he could record some stuff by artists on independent labels. However, I get the feeling that the recording process irks him a bit too. Perhaps he should have a home studio installed and record ala Roger McGuinn. I have read that Terry has a home studio. Perhaps that would be another avenue. Also, Gordon is a multi-instrumentalist. Perhaps he could experiment with recording all of the instruments himself or do an album of just he and his guitar and piano. Jackson Browne's last two live albums were like that (except live) and they worked out well. Just some thoughts.
