Thanks, Jesse. I hadn't seen some of them, and wouldn't have known to go to another site to see them. I appreciate you posting them here. :)

Yes some were on the canoe site: Gord & Tommy Hunter, Gord & Liz, Gord & Cathy , Gord & Don, Gord w/ Juno, Gord w/ Liona, Murray, Sylvia... etc !

Should I remove them Char ?

Your very welcome Vickie, but like Char said click on the link below
to see the 70 pics. :)

nope - don't remove them..some folks might not have seen them or the link to the birthday site. even after wishes can no longer be posted folks might want to read the wishes and see the pics/stories/fan site..

I paid particular attention to the picture of him as a kid, and it seemed even then he had laughter in those eyes of his. Of course, some might also call it mischievious too.

Yep, guess I missed all that. I usually don't have very much time when I pop in here, let alone time to run to another site when links are posted. That's why I appreciated the pictures being posted here so I could quickly view them. :) Thanks, I'll check out that other site when I find some time.

Jesse Joe and Char,

just wanted to add my two cents. I'm glad these are posted here because I find the canoe cite unusable because it takes forever to load. I would never have found these there. I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem? Thanks for posting them Jesse Joe!

Try this link, it works great for me, gets you right there where the pics are ! :)

yeah I had missed the photos too so glad I got the head's up here! So nice to see some different photos of Gordon too! Man...he's so photogenic and I get a kick out of some of his expressions. And he has the nicest smile :).

Hey Vickie...I just looked at the photo collection that Char mentioned and there's one of Gordon with BURTON ;)!

in the Lightfoot canoe thread I had commented how impressed i was with what was contributed in the way of pics (when it was mentioned that rare pics were to be posted, I had thought "well, rare to the masses but this group of fans has seen em all"...how wonderful that there were a whole slew of, indeed, unseen pics:) ) ...that first one (montage) in the series of 70 is a real gem and a do wish it had been at a higher res...terrific!

the backyard one of Gord with Murray and friends is interesting to compare to the more recent shot of Murray, Cuddy, Cochrane and Gord

I also think the shot of Gord smoking outside the Riverboat is a top 5

but the one that really ranks is the one of Gord simply playing in his space:)

thanks as always for the char, Yuri and other's contributions and jjo's wonderful collection of old articles that appear on this site...treasures:)

lol, this is the one that may show that best...apologies to any copyright violations in lifting the local Focus production image stills but they do deserve milking:)

btw, you gals really should take a look at the birthday wishes from some of the locals (was recently reading a quite sweet one of a woman who had gone out with Gord back in local school days...truly great stuff)

the canoe 70th GL tribute is likely the most wonderful Gord related url I've browsed in the past 10 years...I hope there is fair warning before it is removed...maybe Sir John can do one of the short or long or notlong archive thingies before it fades away? :)

I'll ask David if/when it might be taken down and if there's some way to archive it..

I've gone thru all of the wishes a few times and always get a kick out of the gals who knew Gord back in the day..
lol

It was wonderful to see some of the "unseen" pics when David sent them along to me to help determine the who/what/when of them.. I was pleased to see the b&w of him and Robert Markle..

I love the pictures. Sometimes he looks so distinguished and sometimes he looks like a “bad boy”. I like the “Bad Boy”!!

I like the "Bad Boy" too. Actually I like all the pictures with the exception of the last one with him swinging his coat. It looks too posed.

Thanks, Jesse Joe, for posting the pix. I enjoy perusing the canoe site as well. Thanks, Char, for reposting the link. It makes it much easier.

I like the “Bad Boy”!!I don't know that I'd call it a "bad boy" look, just more like the look of a kid that's just put an entire jar of rubber cement in the teachers chair, on the one hand, and then you toss in a very generous handfull of the distinguished gentleman, and what you end up with is someone who obviously enjoys life & living.
