I'm furious! After 14 years,I'm being put out of my apartment! He says its because he wants to remodel the place.I'm not sure if I believe that or not.I have to be out by the end of November. How would you feel if you were being put out of your home after 14 years in the same place?!
Theres no real need to reply to this post.I just needed to,"Shout across the ocean to the shore".

So sorry to hear it. Maybe he's doing it over to either rent it at a higher rate or rent/lend it to a relative who's lost their home. Either way, it sucks big time.
Don't suppose you'd want or could afford a small house instead of renting, would you? I expect there's a lot of real estate out there right now. That's what my son did 3 years ago. After sharing places with friends or moving back home with us, he found a small house with a big yard, 2 or 3 bedrooms (he uses one as an office), 1 full bath, tiny kitchen, living room, breakfast nook; the house is all of maybe 900 square feet. The mortgage with taxes ran about the same as rent, and for the first couple of years he rented the spare bedroom to a friend for $300 a month, too. I expect when a girlfriend comes along he may move up to something larger but for now it suits the bachelor life. But not everyone is cut out for owning.

You have to admit, something is really stinky there in Denmark, especially with it happening this freakin' close to Thanksgiving. And there's just no way on earth that you'll covince me that the boogerhead isn't aware of just how hard it's going to be for you to find some place new at this time of year, and at a reasonable rate to boot.

I hope you get a better place soon, patybear.
I once had a landlord that kicked me out in the middle of December just because my 8 year old got a can of pop out of the pop machine when the laundrymat was closed. The kitchen door to my apartment was connected to the laundrymat. I think it had just closed a few minutes earlier. This particular @#$%&*landlord had even shut my heat off several times. (I'm pretty sure he did it on purpose). The heat was supposed to be included in the rent.
Around that time, Bob Dylan came on (I think it was the David Letterman Show), and he sang 'Forever Young'. Somehow that made me feel a lot better. I ended up getting a better place.

Always did like this song, and on "Letterman"... I cant believe I've missed this show. That's what you get for watching "Leno". Thanks for posting this Patti. :)
Some landlords can be so cruel eh ! :(

Glad you liked that video, Jesse. I posted that one using the high fidelity video. It took longer to load on this computer, but it sure has a nice sound.
Some landlords can be so mean. They should have to pass a test or be regulated somehow. People should be allowed to feel at home in their own home even if they are renting. Good that there are some nice ones out there.
I learned in girl scouts () to always leave a place better than it was when you got there. Don't know if they all appreciate that, but it has stuck with me nevertheless.
