Wow...that's great. I love hearing that again. Thanks so much for posting that. :)
Doesn't this song just make you want to move with the music? :)

Thanks for clueing us in, Nightingale! So sorry to hear that - that was "my music" when I was growing up in the early to mid-60's, along with the Beatles. I distinctly remember one night in Illinois watching tv with a friend and they were on - thought the matching suits and the harmonies were SO COOL!
He will be missed!
Best to you and the "leggers"! Sheryl

You know what's interesting about Tops version of the song I posted is I think this might of been off an album that they released in late 67 or early 68 wich were mostly remakes of other songs.
I was once looking through an old Chicago Trib. paper from early 1968 and mentions this LP which I can't remember the name of it but it aslo included their version of The Left Banke's Walk Aaway Renae.

Hi Sheryl :) Thanks but I didn't post about this and clue everyone in. :) It was Affair On Touhy Ave. that brought it to our attention.
They had such a great sound...good music from the soul and heart. Best to you, too Sheryl. Hug your babies for me :)
Affair, that's interesting about the album that this song came off of. I'm glad you found this clip and brought it over. So good to hear and I play it every time I come to this thread...lol. Guess I had better go to YouTube and put it in my favorites. :)
Thanks again.

I know I'm late commenting on this story. I hadn't noticed the topic but did know of his passing.
The Four Tops' "I Can't Help Myself" was the very first #1 song I ever owned.
This year, just about a month shy of Levi's passing,I finally got the very last two songs of all the Tops' Top 40 hits.
He was a great vocal talent,as well as the other members. So sad, there's now just one Top and 1 original Temptation left.
Rest in Peace Levi.
