Jessie Jo,
Thanks for posting some of the Reno clips, for those of you who don't have a copy of the DVD, I had a video, Valerie posted a note saying that Amazon was running a special on it for only $ 9.99 (American). Needless to say I ordered it.

Nice...great clips to see. :)

Of course, Carefree Highway is my favorite becasue he is singing it about me...lol.
Well, alright, he isn't really singing it about me but my name is in there.

Thanks for posting these, Jesse. Kevin, thanks for the heads up about the sale.

It would appear that the videos have been removed, which IMO is just as well. Live in Reno was recorded, packaged, and marketed by the artist (or his designees) in a for-profit manner. I support that and have purchased this DVD. I don't support these videos being uploaded to YouTube in a manner that is currently being challenged by some as a violation of copyright law. Whether it is or not, I believe the GL should have a voice in this DVD being uploaded for free viewing. If I'm missing the mark on this, I'm sure my fellow Lightheads will set me straight.

I just got the "Live in Reno" dvd.(Used part of my birthday money to buy it,-b.t.w.)There are a couple of songs I think he shouldn't sing anymore-Wreck,and IYCRMM(which happens to be my favorite GL song). His voice just isn't suited to those songs anymore. But on the whole,I was very pleased with this dvd. My BF even enjoyed it.I can't wait to see him in concert in July!

Absolutely correct Doug.
And this concert was after all a magnanimous gesture by Gord originally designed to put money in the coffers of US Public Broadcasting to enable them (PBS) to continue to produce their series of fine advertisement free television programmes ( often in conjunction with the better elements of UK television (BBC Channel 4 etc))
But what I would like to know is who/where the hell is this big Jessie who used to be very prolific as Jesse Joe. Is/was he for real??
It was after all he who started this thread but has decided to disappear without saying goodbye or asking to be excused, did anybody ever make a real contact with him??
I tried repeatedly to get him in Instant messaging sessions and in emails and PMs to give me a real snail mail address or preferably his phone number. But on the grounds of remaining private and reclusive he repeatedly refused my appeals for contact details like a physical address in Moncton or his phone number. The problem is that there are according to a search at:-
http://www.canada411.ca/search/si/1/Omer+Landry/Moncton (http://www.canada411.ca/search/si/1/Omer+Landry/Moncton)
3 pukka Omer Landrys in his area plus a further 3 variations.
I think he tried to claim that none of them were his. Is there anybody who could try phoning all 6 in that search??
according to the map
this one:-

LANDRY O (http://www.canada411.ca/res/5065252139/O-LANDRY/61406856/Map.html)
506-525-2139
24 Rue Joey
Saint-Antoine, NB E4V 3L5
Is the nearest of the 6 to Moncton itself

Have you tried any of the phone numbers? He might be unlisted. He still doesn't have the internet.

No Patti which is why I said
"Is there anybody who could try phoning all 6 in that search??"

In the obviously vain hope that somebody in Canada would pick up the mantle
("He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him..."
This is from Second Kings Chapter 2 Verse 13 of the Bible and refers to Elisha taking
over 'authority' from his father, Elijah. It has been used in similar senses...ie
"he's the new guy responsible"...for various situations.)
But I will now we have free N American phone calls with s new verizon all in one package try the obvious ones myself ASAP
Oops me bad as religion is taboo here
and surely
"He MUST have the internet."
Else how did he contrive to post almost 8000 times on these forums

Interesting thought, anyway I strolled back after going walkabout for awhile and I spied a post by Jesse Joe - only to discover that it was from ages ago... oh well, I suspect you're correct Char !
