wow.. .these Cash videos of Gord are great.!!
Is that Red or Terry in the CRT one...
Lots of violins...are they playing along with the recording???
Please can someone get all these old clips and the masters and produce a Gordon Lightfoot History video... it would be great...
Just like the Collection CD where Gord commented...he could have live commentary ,,, I remember Red telling me that he was told that Gord has lots of studio tapes as well of stuff Gord doesnt think is good enough. But no doubt is great!!!
There was a BBC concert in 71 or 72 that should be around somewhere.

I spoke with Mr. Bernie Fiedler at Massey and he told me that Gord has all of the audio and video from over the years and only Gord knows when and if it will ever be released..

Thanks J-Joe! Gord and Cash, the duo I've always wanted to see perform together. :)

Im like you Deal, and here is a pick that I scan (twice) with different resolution of Lightfoot & Cash in 1970. This is from the Maynard Collins book "If You Could Read His Mind," copyright 1988...
To jj, now by looking at the way Gord is dressed, that's another performance I have not seen yet. There are simply too many before households got to own a VCR's. :) And I always thought Lightfoot didn't do many TV appearances ?

thanks for asking Char :) i guess we are on standby for now
JJo - great brochure/pic, thanks! yeah, when i saw the Mountains and Marianne clip during the Hour Bio, I realized there is more CBC stuff out there never seen by most of us
John, that is Red - agreed, BBC stuff is tops...I watch listening and viewing some early Elton and Cat Stevens BBC performances recently, top notch quality and so well preserved
Softly is awesome...the bridge in Ribbon of Darkness also has Gord in top live vocal form

Thanks for finding the video's, it's great being able to see and hear a young Gordon.
I would love to see a video of "Ordinary Man " or "Miguel".
