That's a great story podunklander, there should be a Judy Collins autogragh picture in that General Store. I guess they never thought of taking a pic of her singing and playing guitar for them ! :)

But there's an old sofa and a guitar so I sat down and played a song for Mrs. Rob -and was wishing she was around to still tell me the story about Judy

Do you remember the tune you played ?

Nice story...lucky store patrons!
I guess I would tell everyone over and over again if Judy Collins played at my place....lol.

She really has a beautiful voice. Hope she has a great birthday with many more to come!

Collins and Cohen sound really good together. I have always loved that LC song.

A happy belated from me Borderstone. :)

One of,if not "the" very first female singers of the 1960s that I got into as a boy in the 1970s/early 80s. Mainly thanks to "Both Sides Now". ;)

Hi Pam, I like an autobiography once in a while. Maybe I'll give that one a try. I was thinking it must be nice to be a baby if you get to have her to sing you lullabyes. Last night, I sang Clouds or Both Sides Now to my dog, Rosy and she was so enamored for quite a while. She had her 'arms' crossed like a sweetie and looked at me lovingly where ever I would go. :)

Has anybody here happened to have read her autobiography? I have started to read it but can't get through the 1st 2 chapters very well. Would wonder if others have that issue too.

Pam

I have not read it, but your post tweaked my curiosity. So I searched for info on it, and the issues she has dealt with sound pretty depressing. Do the first 2 chapters deal with those ?

Here's a link to an article/interview about/with Judy Collins that covers a lot of ground:
