Bryan Adams launches new album with intimate concert
Published Tuesday March 25th, 2008
VANCOUVER - Canadian rock icon Bryan Adams chose the intimate setting of a downtown Vancouver church in support of his new studio album "11."
Armed with just a guitar and a harmonica, Adams played a secret invitation-only show to 300 fans -- including his whole family -- at St. Andrew's Wesley Church.
Before the set Adams held a news conference during which he sang the praises of Vancouver.
He says his family lives there and he has a studio there, which he likes to drop in on.
Adams says if his manager would let him, he'd perform in Vancouver all the time.
His new disc "11" is his eleventh album, and he says it was recorded in studios he set up in hotel rooms and took about two years to produce.
