1979 Soundstage Guitars

I was watching the PBS 1979 Soundstage show and noticed that neither GL nor Terry was playing a Martin. Does anyone know what type of guitar they
were playing, and why they ditched their Martins?

It's been about twenty years since I've seen it-lucky you-but I'm guessing GL was using his custom McGlincy. It's also pictured on the Dream Street Rose album, which of course came out around that same time.

Maybe he was looking for something a little more ornate for TV?

Gordon uses his Martin D-18 /6 string with that (Happy Face) sticker on the back nowadays... :)
