After loading a photo in Photobucket.com (not of GL) I did a search for him. One of the photos is entitled "The GSE Team, the mayor of Ylivieska and GORDON LIGHTFOOT!". The photo shows 7 people, 4 of whom are men but none of them looks like Gordon Lightfoot. Of course there may be other Gordon Lightfoots in the world but who else deserves his name all capped like that?

Sorry if this has been pointed out before, I haven't been here in awhile. Just thought it was interesting. The man on the far right of the photo would bear the most resemblance but I think even that's a stretch.

There was a guy named Gordon Lightfoot (not OUR Gord) whose name was in the paper because he had been arrested for being on crack (or some type of drug). Only at the very end did they mention that "he was not the singer who sang 'Sundown', 'Carefree Highway', or 'The Wreck Of The E.F.". :confused:

The "other" Gordon Lightfoot is President of the Board of SaskCentral (a credit union, I believe.) There's a photo in their 2006 annual report; he looks old enought to be a contemporary of our Gord, but that's where the similarity ends. Google "Gordon Lightfoot" +SaskCentral to find it.

I have spotted at least one other "Gordon Lightfoot " in the past I seem to remember a native of Florida.
I just did a quick google image search and was surprised to find a site
sporting this assertion!!!
