Anyone want to share any pictures of images taken at GL concerts?
Pictures taken of the stage, closeups of band members, Gord ...whatever.
I'd love to see them.
If there is already a collection somewhere...can anyone tell me where?
Thanks

Thanks,
These were great.
I'd like to print some of these off and frame them. Are there any available in your archives that are higher resolution.
Charlene, yours look like you took them with your camera at concerts. Do you have the originals in a higher resolution??
Also, how about any stage shots. Did anyone sit in the balcony and take a picture who might like to share it?
Anyway... thanks very much for sharing. As a Gord fan.. I don't have any pictures at all. I feel like an addict who has finally admitted he is hooked.
Love it!

GL Posters
Oh! One more thought.
I was in a Picture store yesterday..started flipping through mounted posters. Found ones of everything under the sun....bands, movie stars etc.
Were there any made of GL over the years. If so I'd love to find them.

yep that was him. I had just talked with him earlier as he was unloading the van with the gear for Gordon, RIck and Terry and then I had gone to take my seat while waiting for the music to begin..-
I posted a pic of him onstage that day at:
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=17861&highlight=barry+harvey&page=2
The next time I saw and spoke with him was at Mariposa in Orillia in July while he paced around waiting for Gordon to arrive..

Some great pics here. I think I'll try to play around in Photoshop with some of them.
Here's one from Hamilton Place, Hamilton Ontario in 2004 which I believe was one of the first concerts given by Gord after his hospital stay. Some of those in attendance were the health care professionals from McMaster Medical Center that were responsible for his recovery.

Thats one concert I would have loved to be sitting front row centre. I know it would have probably not been possible to have such seats. But boy that show would have been to me unforgetably historic... from the 'Master Poet Genius.' :)
Jesse Joe.
That was a great concert just for the fact that Gord was still with us and back to performing, Gord did struggle a bit at the start of the performance and the sound mix had to be tweaked a bit but by the end, it was our same ol' Gord.
Before the performance a good number of us Corfidians got together at a nearby pub to chat and have a bite. It was great seeing all those new faces and putting names to them.
Unfortunately I had a party of rude and boisterous young punks in front of me that I thought would have been more at home at a Marilyn Manson concert that a Lightfoot show. They were soon evicted restoring peace.
Yes, I believe the front rows were reserved for McMaster's health care professionals as a show of appreciation.

Yuri,.. Can you post the original hi-resolution images that you probably have. ???

John,
I'd be happy to share whatever photos I have however I have a slight problem I first have to overcome. Back in the spring of 06 I acquired an infection that put me into a wheelchair. After a year of physiotherapy, I'm just starting to walk again with braces. For that reason I find myself confined to the first floor of my house and have been "existing" in my living room for the last year. Somewhere upstairs, well hidden in the bowels of my office, I have photos of Gord over the years not yet digitized. Of the photos posted that are mine, I only have in the compressed JPEG format. When I do find my photos I'd be happy to share higher resolution photos BMP's(?) perhaps? Because of their uncompressed file size, they would eat up a fair bit of bandwidth. e-mailed BMP photos may not be practical A snail-mailed disc might be the way to go. Unfortunately that prospect is still somewhat off in the future. Until I can drop these wheels strapped to my backside, 'life' is on hold.

Don't forget old BillW Jesse Joe, LOL. I sat at that pub table too - what a joint for a teetotaler. I had nice people around me both nights...the second night I sat with two beautiful young ladies who I swear were distracting the band.
Anyway it is one of my fondest musical memories. And I think I found the picture - now I need to add names, LOL (I took the picture so you won't see me)

That's the second night show there. Had pretty cool seats that night.

ok, my mind isn't what it once was but I can't distinctly recall meeting you before, during or after... you're elusive, lol, I've been by your home about 10 years ago for a video drop off but even then never met...anyhow, a memorable event, loved River of Light and his first few numbers, Spanish Moss foremost, most of all 'cos it was mainly just Gord and guitar with very subtle orchestral (ie. band) colourings
all the best health in '08, great progress!
JJ
jessie, that Gord 20.jpg pic of him swinging on the TTC Subway pole is a hoot...never saw it before...it had me singing in the rain, lol...speaking of rain, here it comes, goodbye snow :(
I have so much wonderful Lightfoot material that generous fans have shared with me over the years that I often lose track of where they came from and who sent them. I believe the wonderful montage of the 2004 gathering prior to the "come back" performance at Hamilton Place, was courtesy of John Fowles. My apologies to those responsible if I am mistaken.
Perhaps some not attending might enjoy seeing the faces that did manage to make it to Hamilton that drab November night. Faces were not identified and as 2004 was the year I turned 50, I have reason to believe that is also the percentile of memory I still retain. I was privileged to meet so many fine Lightheads that evening but sadly can only associate a few faces and names.

I trust that these public photos are acceptable to post and that none of those attending are now on a wanted poster. :)

Don't know the source of this photo. A picture of Gordon with renowned Canadian environmentalist and conservationist David Suzuki. Gord mentions Suzuki in the 'No Hotel' preamble.

I was at the 2004 concert as well with the rest of the gang here. That concert was probably one of the most spine tingling ones I'd ever been too, because up until that point I had resigned myself to the fact that seeing GL in concert ever again was over!
When the lights dimmed, the place just went nuts when Gord strolled out to the stage and I was never happier to see him and the rest of the guys on stage.
I've said it before on here in the past I made it a point to attend the concert in benefit of Hamilton Health Sciences because a year prior they were the very same people who saved my dad's life from an abdominal aneurysm.

This is a great photo Yuri. I dont believe Ive seen it before. :)
agreed, gordh - when gord started into spanish moss opener that was the most memorable moment for me for any concert attended - and most scariest then relieved moments were when i thought he was having stroke during IYCRMM
i watched all from 1st row of balcony, great perch for absorbing the love from the crowd
yuri, i did that sepia overkill montage - btw, harrison & i make our cameo at bottom
ps) hey, where is bjb (miss bonnie, hope dad fine) and minstrelman teach from hamilton and gaby

OK I can now fill in a few gaps.could the girl at left front be Bonnie (bjb). sorry I really cannot remember??
The "woman in the front on the left" is our very good friend and my hugging pal Diane (sundown 17)
Note for RM
I trust that you will appreciate that I used the thumbnail method. I very very nearly gave up because today my stoopid dial-up's catchphrase is "done" meaning it struggles for say twenty minutes to open a web page
from another web page then lyingly tells me it is "done"!!
And it probably took a further ten minutes to deign to open the original page first.I can't wait for broadband

Err Umm well spotted Omer, sorry everybody but in my haste to fight my dial up and get this posted I omitted to realise that a thin white line would not show up where it crossed another white haired gent's** head.I have now edited it to a red line and at great cost to my patience have attached the revised version
(**I do not know who that was, only that it was not BillW as he is at the other end of the table and is somewhat folically challenged no doubt as a result of his Marine's hairdresser!!
