This was a very kind thing for a famous Dad to do for his Daughter and to have it out there for fans everywhere to see. I once remember during an interview many years ago Gord saying how he had to really badger his Dad once to drive him to barber shop gig and it wasn't until Gord stressed the importance of it to his Dad that Mr. Lightfoot Senior relented and did the driving. Guess it's Dad now looking out for his Daughter's wishes. Ron J.

Your so right, lighthead2toe:
I have that interview on audio cassette tape, and remember that very well. His friend Murray McLauchlan was doing the interview for a CBC radio program. And I remember Lightfoot saying, "I had to sit him down (his dad) and make him understand that this was really important," for him to be doing the driving"...
Time sure does go by quickly... :)

That's the one Jesse Joe. I'm glad you posted that as I knew I had the tape somewhere but over the years it's not always easy to find some of the stuff we tend to collect. With the Murray Mclauchlan reference I was able to locate it right away. Hope you can make it to the next gathering in Toronto for the Massey concerts when all the folks assemble with instruments in tow. It's great fun getting together and playing the tunes we all know. Stay loose. Ron J.

She sure loves that dog! I can relate to that; when I was her age, my dog was definitely the best thing in my life too. I had a beautiful Boxer named Apache and he was awesome.
To this day Boxers are my favorite breed, though I pretty much love all dogs.
I miss having one, but I work so many hours now that I just wouldn't be able to provide it the attention it needs.
I have three cats though and luckily they need less attention than dogs.
Just feed them, change their litter and give them a little cuddling when I come home and they're happy.
