Great stuff Next Saturday, I too enjoyed the "send it out kid."{ lol } It made me laugh out loud. Cool guy, and a super daughter. Two great friends they seemed to be...:)

Well that was special. Now she's gotta learn how to edit, LOL. The last few seconds are priceless. I think we have a new catchphrase !

Hey INS! Thanks for "sending it oot!" He looks and sounds like he hadn't been awake all that long. His hair's not arranged in his current semi-pompadour style, and his voice is much softer than Meredith's. Maybe he hadn't yet had his Second Cup of Coffee! Anyway, it's a keeper! Added it to my youtube faves.

I'm trying it here at the apt. comlex resident PC but the speakers aren't working. it's playing fine but no sound. Don't you wish you could see a falling star, wish on it and Gord could be 30 years younger again? :)

Actually no B, LOL. But I know where you're coming from, to paraphrase a little:

For everything there is a season, and a time for very purpose under heaven

"Send it out kid!"
It took a while to download on dial-up, but it was worth the wait...

Not what I expected... much better, albeit a bit unpolished.

Gord seemed to take a couple of moments to "figure things out" and then responding very thoughtfully.

A good selection of questions, I thought. Not too sure about the global warming thing, but Gord's reply was good. It's no wonder that I respect this man a lot! An extremely gifted individual, while not becoming arrogant and full of "self" as we see so many entertainers become.

Mer, very nicely done. you may want to consider a better camera/mic setup though.... just a suggestion. and please, if I may, please beg your Dad to do another album! Daughters have a way of getting Dad to do things that others can't! (ie this interview) I know this because I'm a Dad of several daughters! Maybe make that one of your next quetions ala interview???

I hope we get to see more of these interviews... Thanks to all who made it possible, including the link in this post.

Okay,I finally got to listen to/watch it and it was adorable on the part of his daughter and on Gordon's side,he may take his time to reply but the answer ids certainly worth the wait. Better to think before you speak, you know. ;)

Wish it had been longer. I loved when he waved & said "Hi You Tube"! LoL! This from a man who said he never be on the net. Never say never Gordon,I didn;t think I'd ever use PC's either. ;)

I would not mind being 30 years younger by the way,I'd be 9 again or better yet, next year I'd be 10.

I'd have to agree with you,Paul.Gordon doesn't look quite "with it" in this video.
Not to pry or anything, but if you look closely-in the background you'll see that the bedclothes DO look a bit rumpled. So maybe you're right about him not having been up that long.

Still a nice video.I was wondering when Meridith was going to post something new on You
Tube.

Is there any word on the Massey Hall scnedule for 2008? I became a member and am determined to be at every performance! I read that Gord is booked through the end of 2008, so if anyone can provide assistance,it will be greatly appreciated! I had the honor and pleasure of flying to Houston this June from Miami to experience THE GREATEST concert, love-in,...I'm sorry, but unlike THE BARD I lack the ability to convey the depths of feelings and emotions, that transpired. Am anxious for feedback from others please. Thanks, everyone! :) Sharon

I'd imagine Massey would be mid-May as it was in 2005. Those dates were 18th, 19, 20 and 21.

In 2001 he had dates of May 24,25,26.

2008 could be Wed. May 15th -17th or even 18th if there is a 4th show.

A week later would be 22,23,24, and possibly 25.

We'll know soon I hope!

In 1998, it was May 6th through 9th, so I don't think we can really assume mid-May. Also, in 2005, it was Thursday through Sunday, while previous recent Massey stands were Wed (or Thurs) through Saturday.

If I were you, I'd keep flexible for the whole month of May. Saturday the 3rd is already booked (Ron Sexsmith), so that's the only week that it can't be.

I'll post the dates at my web site gordonlightfoot.com (http://gordonlightfoot.com) as soon as I hear about them, and I will also send out a mailing, so sign up for my mailing list if you want notification. And I'm sure it will be posted here by me, Char, or anyone else who gets the word early.

Stay tuned!
