If The Kingston Trio comes to your town, please say Howdy for me, OK? Btw, even w/o original members, the Trio carries on the tradition and is under the direction of Bob Shane:

A Full Circle Unknown Even to Rick Dougherty [current Trio member]

Circa '62 a certain Tennis Star at Buena Park High, CA kindly allowed me to be his Doubles Partner. Circa '62 also, a certain Surfer Bassman for The Rumblers [BOSS] allowed me to play Tenor Sax in the band.

After High School, and loosing track of Tennis Star, Rumbler Bassman and I began a 45+yr musical and personal friendship continuing to this day.

Some 20yrs ago, Tennis Star reappeared [now a PHD in Psychiatry] after yrs as a working musician. Bassman Buddy booked Tennis Star on boucous DJ gigs. I'd just begun The Puppet Factory kids radio show at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, CA

Now, Tennis Star is coming to the rescue of Mr. Bassman by taking him into Tennis Star's DJ Agency as an agent. I'm as thankful and grateful as a man can be to Tennis Star for his aid to my brother Mr. Bassman

At the recent KT Cerritos Center gig [Loni Anderson in the green room] Tennis Star went backstage. Tennis Star and KT's Rick Dougherty talked over Old Tymes.

Tennis Star: BOB HOULE.

He and Rick [just as Bassman and I] had performed together as a duo across many yrs and many more miles.

What the world calls co-incidence, we musicians call
Chatanooga Choo Choo! . . .

and the Train keeps right on a-chuggin . . .

Absolutely, little lady . . .

Wasn't that a fine nite at HOB Disney?

. . . and I could see right over your head and up Gord's . . . uh . . . face.

Sure wish I coulda gone up to the Valley the next night.
Alan's boy, Robin, was at the same HOB last week.

Great memories of Gord that not-so-long-ago nite.

Bless Your Heart,

Rez
