The tower gets hit quite a lot..
I'd seen a lot of pics and tv footage but then I actually saw a strike hit it one night...wowza..

I doubt the tower got hit 6 times in 18 seconds tho..perhaps time lapse/editing was involved.

OK the original flash video file (lightning strikes cn tower.flv) is so very small only 754KB that even those like me on a dial-up can fairly quickly see the entire 19 seconds worth. But to demonstrate again what can be done with a youtube video I saved it as described in my superlatively easy to follow tutorial at:-
http://www.yoputubetutorial.notlong.com
then converted it to the video CD compatible mpeg-1 format using the equally superlative all-can-do video conversion freeware program
SUPER © Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer.
which will also convert a Visual OBject video file (*.vob) as used by DVDs to mpg

As brink now knows I recently had cause to use this together with another nifty pit of freeware called would you believe
free-dvd-mp3-ripper.exe (http://www.dvd-mp3.org/)
(from the suitably named domain dvd-mp3.org)
which I discovered does a great job of ripping the audio from a DVD or other video file
having the CN Tower file in mpg format I then could readily play it in Windows Media Player and make screenshots like this:-

John, you crack me up! I wish you were my neighbor and could help me with my never ceasing computer problems. None at the moment though, knock on wood.
