Does anyone out there know anything about how to use them? My future in-laws gave us one for x-mas.
So far I've been having kind of a hard time figuring it out.I don't have the instruction booklet,so aparently the machine is used. That doesn't bother me.

I would go to the website of whatever company made your bread maker. A lot of companies put instruction manuals online for their products, usually as a .pdf file. It's worth a shot.

Most bread makers are VERY simple to use; it's usually as simple as telling it what kind of bread you're making, dumping in the ingredients, pushing start, and then waiting a few hours. Don't know if yours is that simple, but I don't think you'll hurt anything by fooling around with it, if all else fails.

My father-in-law, who barely ever stepped into a kitchen, makes fine bread from his breadmaker. Shouldn't be too tough to figure out the machine.
As for me, I make all the bread for my family, four loaves at a time, in a hand-crank pail from 1908. The kneading is relaxing (or therapeutic, if I need to punch something), and it really doesn't take much time.

Google the brand name and the words 'instruction' or ''manual'. You should be able to find one. If all else fails, most of these machines have a silver tag on them somewhere, with a 1-800 number you can call.

That's good you got the hang of it. I've never tried one yet myself. Usually when I make bread, I find that it turns out the best when I knead it to music.

I love mine! Getting ready to make some wheat bread right now.
