I had a swell idea for "sort of" an online present for all of you. I've wanted to do it in the past but chickend out.

This year,I decided "why not?". Here's how it works. All interested, please leave me (private message) the date of your birth. That simple. :)

Now,I "would" say why but it would spoil the surprise. :D I think you'll like it.

I will then,PM you the "gift" in relation to your B-day. ;) Hope to hear from many of you and in advance Merry Christmas & Happy Thanksgiving too!

New participants! :)

Thank you to:

Cathy
Yuri and
new member & poster Steele's Tavern! ;)

I'll have all five pending, finished before the weekend is over! :)

I'm going to keep this open until
Monday Dec. 11th,
for I know after that date we'll all be busy with the holidays.

One of the other reasons I wanted to do this besides the great gift of giving is,for the past (nearly) 2 months,I have been unemployed and I needed something positive to keep my own positive thinking alive.

Today (oddly enough,Gord's birthday! :) ) I finally have a new job & start Tuesday. Thank God.

You all helped me keep hope alive so,again big,big thank you's!! :D

Glad to hear you got a new job B. You've had quite a rough ride since you ventured from the hotel. What will you be doing ?

Best of luck to you,

Bill :)

Well,it took nearly a month to gt back to this but I finallly have given Jenney and Steele's Tavern their gift "lists".

I would like to thank one last time all 12 participants! (
That includes the list I made for Gordon Lightfoot's birthday on the main board. )

That's actually a lot more than I thought would go for it,so I am pleased. :)

With that,a happy holidays to all andmaybe I'll try again next year. Those that took part,I'll just add a song to your list. ;)

Gotta love your lists B ! A great way to pinpoint a memory and maybe a laugh or two.

June 13 1974 I was spending a fine Summer Side Of Life day at USMCRD in South Carolina. More than once I caught a far away radio playing "Billy Don't Be A Hero".

You share a birthday with my daughter.

Bill :)

I'll tell you Bill,"Billy" may be #1 on my birthday that year but all I remember about hearing it on the radio is that it made me cry! :(

Which is strange becasue it was really over my head. Must have been the mood in the singers tone of voice or something.

The week aftr they finished being #1 for 2 weeks,Gordon hit #1 with "Sundown"! Rats! Missed it! :D

An honor it is to share that date with your daughter. You may want to let her know she shares that day with singer Bobby Freeman ("Do You Wanna Dance"?),Tim Allen,The Olson Twins and Richard thomas who played John Boy on The Waltons. ;)
