For me it all started with the KT. After they made it big, every college had 2 or 3 groups that wanted to be the next KT.

I still have their first record. Recently learned
to play Scotch and Soda. Had to figure out the
chords as the ones I could find on the internet
were mostly wrong.

I just have the 1958,45 rpm record of,"Tom Dooley". :)
