I am planning on seeing this movie next week. All you Cash fans out there, what are your views on this very well received movie (inspite of the wonderful Roseanne Cash dislike of it)? I've seen clips and must admit the two leads seem very impressive.

I haven't seen a theatrical movie in a year,so if I have the time,I might check it out. Then again, last year I saw another biopic "Ray".
I wonder if this is the start of a weird trend? :D

Hey, just wanted to say that I've seen "Walk The Line" two times already and I love it. I've been a Johnny Cash fan as long as I've been a Gordon fan, all my life, and this movie is absolutely wonderful.
I read online that both June and Johnny hand picked Joaquin Phoeinx and Reese Witherspoon to play them in the movie. Joaquin and Reese did the singing in the movie and after a while you can't even tell the difference between Johnny and Joaquin.
I plan on buy it when it comes out on DVD.

I've never been a Johnny Cash fan (and have always been a Joaquin Phoenix fan), and I have to say after seeing the movie, I'm now a fan of both. I'm actually considering getting a CD of his (Johnny's, ha!) (And I still think Joaquin was robbed of his Oscar from his role in Gladiator). I can see why June's daughter would be upset about the movie, but, really, from a non-partisan view of things, she really wasn't painted that bad. Sure she (Vivian) got upset over Johnny's changing priorities and then his philandering, what wife wouldn't? I never saw *itch in her role -- only a justifiably outraged wife and mom.

all these comments and opinions have really whetted my appetite. I cannot wait to see the movie. Witherspoon has been in London promoting
it and comes across as a really likeable soul.

Just discovered there is a special programme on Johnny Cash on tv in about 30mins. I shall be watching that and NOT the SuperBowl, which is being shown 'live' here in England! I would bet a year's salary that the US does not show our Cup Final 'live'!
