Hi Annie. As I have in the past few years,I learned of Richard Pryor's passing after 2:30pm this afternoon while on a break at work.

I was switching channels on the lunch room TV & went by FOX news and nearly passed it. Having seen him on Entertainment Tonight a few weeks back,I had a feeling he wouldn't be here much longer but I basically decided it wasn't right to think that way.

In one of those little concidences,I was up late a few weeks ago and one of the local channels decided to show "Stir Crazy". Most like;y everyone's favorite Pryor/Wilder team up.
25 years after,Richard's line of,"That's right,we bad..uh huh,ha,ha,ha",is still able to make me laugh. :)

I wish Richard everlasting peace,God knows you earned it.

In checking Internet Movie Data Base,I found that it was 30 years ago on Decmber 13th,1975 that Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase did that now classic "job interview-racial slur/word association" sketch."

On SNL's Weekend Update this past Saturday, they paid tribute to him by playing a short version of it. Those of you out there that have never seen it. Chevy Chase is interviewing Pryor for a job position and as part of a test he involves him in some word play. Like if one says "hair" you say the first thing that comes to your mind in realtion like "style".

They start but then all of a sudden,Chevy (in character)starts throwing in racial slur words,in a calm manner. He says "Jungle Bunny" and Pryor goes "Honky" (that's a white guy who talks nasal tones by the way.) It ends up with Chey saying the "N" word and Richard replying with "Dead honky!" :D LOL! A very shocking sketch for that time.

Some folks say, that when SNL "really" began. ;)
