Ah sigh He has a great taste in music. I am very partial to Elvira Madigan myself and like most of the Mozart's Kirchels that I have heard ,and not surprisingly especially K191

since I have now done some googling I half to tell you that as far as I can find out "Kirchel"
refers to Adolf Kirchel who I assume was the gentleman responsible at some stage for cataloguing Mozart's prolific output.If Annie or anybody knows better please do spout forth.

Yep. You hit the nail on the head. Classical announcers often abreviate it to simply "K". "Mozart's Sonata In D, K 576".
