Don't be afraid of the band name. TOBASOL is merely Great Lakes Myth Society before GLMS took the name GLMS. In either incarnation, they are now my favorite band. Highly recommended are the two TOBASOL albums, "The Legende of Jeb Minor" and "H.O.M.E.S" (the initials of the names of the Great Lakes). These albums are a little hard to find, but worth the effort. One track is about Tiger Stadium, another about Schwinn bikes, and another--Lightfoot fans take note--includes a news broadcast of the Edmund Fitzgerald! Wonderful stuff!

Now, here we go. Whodda thunk a Balboa Bloviator (sorry O'Reilly) would know of TOBASOL aka GLMS. But I do.
Have some John Stewart friends who sing their praises also. Haven't yet heard the music, but certainly have heard the praises.
Next (insert fanfare) H.O.M.E.S.
Thank You Dr. Restless (bad pun-sorry)

PS: A buddy is sending me a CD, so it won't be
too long.

Thanks for your response, Rez. I should clarify that the Fitzgerald broadcast is from the GLMS self-titled album; Schwinn and Tiger Stadium from "H.O.M.E.S." Also, the most beautiful recording--ever--of waves lapping over stones and pebbles on a beach can be found on the "Jeb Minor" album (reminds me of the agate shores of the Upper Peninsula, some thirty years ago).
