View Full Version : Bob Dylan and 60 Minutes
Just a heads up for anyone who is interested. Just saw an advertisement for 60 Minutes, the news show on CBS. They will air an interview with Bob Dylan this Sunday night. Showed a small clip of Dylan talking.

Well,I watched it all the way through. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
I pretty much got what I expected. Most of the more serious/genius type artists have always been a little off the wall. So,when he said he didn't know where all of his songs came from,I wasn't the least bit surprised.
Also, was not surprised when he said he never wanted to be thought of as a prophet or the voice of a generation. I don't blame him, that's a lot of responsibility for one person to shoulder!
I really had to laugh when it was revealed that he purposely made "bad" records! Well, that certainly explains the 1985 single,"Tight Connection To My Heart",which I still have! Good gosh it's awful! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/tongue.gif Still,so awful it's hilarious! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
At least we know now that when he talks,he doesn't sound like Big Bird! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif Been me. Later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

Well, at least he was honest about his talent. He said he doesn't have the magic anymore, like he did when he was younger. He can no longer write songs like Hard Rain. The creativity or something is just not there anymore.
I thought it was interesting when he was talking about his youth, about how he knew at an early age that he was destined for bright lights and fame.
Watchman, I have the tape at work, I think. I'll look tomorrow, and if it's still there I'll make a copy of the interview for you.
