Hi all! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif While at work today at about 11:30AM,I was down in the hotel kitchen and passed by the radio. The radio was on our local oldies station KOOL-FM.
This station for years and years played nothing but 1955 to 1975,which really bacame a tiresome bore after nearly 25 years. Well, stating at the beginning of summer i noticed they played "Crusin' " by Smokey Robinson (1980) and then Bertie Higgins' "Key Largo" (1981).
I thought,"That's a good year to stop at,1981",because it didn't touch my High School years....YET! Today,they played,1985/86's "That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne & Friends (Elton,Stevie & Gladys K.) I was in High School from '82 - '87! (Yes,one extra year. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
I now know how all of you that were teens in the 50s-60s & (early) 70s must have felt when your fav's were dubbed "an oldie but a goodie"!! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/tongue.gif Kind of makes you feel as if the DJ means you instead of the songs! How did you feel when that happened, kind of the same or did you let it roll of your shoulders? It's been me! Later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif
