and the anniversary of the first date my wife and I had (22 years ago).

It helps to remember the good things. I'm going to NYC on Sunday for a class and we're staying a block from ground zero for a week, so I'll get to visit the site a few times.

yes, very solemn day. I remember I was driving to work in predawn purple/gray when I heard the first reports on the radio.

It does help to remember all the other good things that happen on this day also, good to remember that world not only holds sorrow but has joy and light in it still...

Yes, it is good to think about the good things in life. That's what makes us different than those people who choose terror as a way of life. I will never understand what makes those people do those things...

Bill, that is very nice (I wanted to say sweet) that you remember your first date with your wife. Most men have difficulty remembering the wedding anniversary.
