View Full Version : Real major surgery - - - - - tommorow

After a recent visit to my doctor, they have discovered a tumour around my right shoulder area, and are rushing me in to surgery tommorow, June 1, to have it removed. It is
apparantly a fairly major operation which will require them to remove most of the shoulder and a large portion of my upper thigh to replace what's lost from the shoulder. I'm not sure why I'm telling all of you this, just a way to vent, I guess. I won't be getting around much over the next few weeks, so needless to say, Gordon is waiting in my 3 disc cd changer. I have chosen " Gord's Gold ", " Harmony " , and
" Summertime Dream ". That should do the trick. It will be a while before I'm up and around, and some time before I'll be back on this site. I'll be sure to give you an update, and maybe in a few weeks someone can update me on everything I've missed, to avoid me reading 5 weeks of posts!! Until then, peace to all and I'll talk to ya later.
Doug.

Hey Doug, excuse my tardiness in replying. My PC is down at home and when I was at the library yesterday (June 2nd) I spent more time on the main board and by the time I got here, time was up.
I wish you a successful operation and a rapid & equally successful recovery! (As good as Gord's! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif If not better! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif
We hope to hear from you soon and good luck! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Doug,
I just found this thread and am sorry I missed the 'wish you well' messages. Glad to hear you are home and on the road to recovery. I believe greatly in the power of candles, as those who know me, will verify http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif so I shall light a candle in your name and send healing thoughts across the pond in your direction.
