I never knew about this song until one day my wife and i were shopping and the store was playing this song, needless to say it captured my attention and I was swept away to the EDMUND FITZGERALD and it sparked my intrest into a wonderland of mystery about the doomed ship and its crew of 29 men.I stood in one spot the whole time the song was playing and felt as if I were in a trance. I LOVE THIS SONG, thank you Gordon Lightfoot
"With a load of iron or 26,000 tons more than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty, that big ship & true was a bone to be chewed when the gales of November came early"

Hi Ntek1! Borderstone here. I kind of felt the same way when I 1st heard this song almost 25 years ago! (I didn't know of it in '76 when it came out.) The song used to send a chill through me,as if my mind were saying,"Woah, this is an intense journey",or something like that. Now it only does that if I'm in a certain kind of mood, usually a relaxed one. Later! ...and welcome to the Village of Lightfoot! (That's what I'd call this website.) http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
