While my father was driving me to my youth mass on Saturday afternoon I couldn't believe what I heard on the radio! There is a station which my father listens to but unfortunately folks that is not my type of country at all to be quite honest with you. I mean some of the songs are great but it is not the station which you will hear Ernest Tubb, Hank Snow, Ray Price, etc. Would you believe I heard a country version of Sundown and I was very surprised! Is anyone aware who sings this particular version of this true Gordon Lightfoot classic?
Hope all of you are having a great week so far! Sincerely, Maheen.

is there a country version of "Sundown"?
that is something to look into. I still love the OG (original) singer of that song.
He is the "true minstrel" of it.

Perhaps you heard Jesse Winchester's version of "Sundown". You'll find it on the CD "Beautiful - A tribute To Gordon Lightfoot".

I heard there was a rap version of it, and although I've never heard it, I can already attest that it will sound very ratty and pathetic. I don't like rap, and unfortunately, am not to fond of the song Sundown myself... (I know it was a #1 hit, but there are certain tunes I just don't like, and that is one of them).

Sorry for my profanity. I do apologize. I am not a seventeen year old from Georgia.
