Since it doesn't appear GL is appearing in Minnesota this year, we are kicking around the idea of going to see him two nights in suburban Chicago.
Any word on tickets for Aurora, IL (Aug 13-14)? How is the Paramount Theatre for acoustics and surrounding parking?
Thanks in advance.

I was wondering the same thing. Aurora will be the closest location for me to travel. I'll have to look on a map and see where it is. My fingers are crossed in hopes that the timing will be right and I'll get to attend. That would be so lovely. :)

I actually called the Paramount and spoke to someone that seemed knoweledgable. He told me that Mr. Lightfoot and Paramount have no contract at this time but a deal was "certain".
He thought tickets would be available in late June or early July. That seems like it's late for an August concert.
You can log on to their web-site and sign up for an e-mail alert once tickets are available.
Good Luck!!

The Paramount theatre acoustics are wonderful!
I've seen George Winston, play there many times, as well as a few others. I used to live in Aurora and nearby Warrenville, until 2 years ago, when I moved out to Sunny California.
Again, this is a wonderful theater and it has also been wonderfully restored. Across the street there is a parking garage with a nice restaurant above it and there is a Riverboat Casino right about a half a block away, as well.
