Subject: [The Gordon Lightfoot Fan Club] Gordie in Toronto
Hi folks, I had the honour of meeting Gordie on the streets of Toronto
today -- it took me by total surprise! I'm still slightly in shock --
what a humble and gracious man -- I invited him to dinner, but he
declined -- he said "I'm starting my tour" -- By-the-way, he looks
fantastic and says he's 98% recovered!"

WOW! Isn't that cool!!

don't feel bad that he didn't accept. i asked him in 2001 to come out to the house for the Charbeque but he seemed too busy...something about rehearsals and concerts....

Char, he had heard about the plans we had made for him - that's why he refused. ;)

;) Oh yes wonderful memories of the charbecue.
and I was able to put my mouse on the very picture to illustrate those memories

TIP
I have just realised from the exercise of uploading that picture to the MSN group album, that the upload feature includes a
most useful utility for anybody who does not yet have Windows XP installed. For those who don't know with XP when you
view/open/explore a folder containing graphics (Jpegs etc) XP very helpfully and automatically shows the folder contents
as a display of thumbnails (instead of boring filenames in lesser Windows). So having looked in windows 98 at my Massey 2001
pictures folder and from the list of filenames that I had used to rename the originals I selected this delectable shot of the
ever so charming Char then when I went to the "add a photo" upload facility in the MSN group I rediscovered that this also
displays a similar set of thumbnails. Magic

You never know who you are gonna see in Toronto... last time I was there I saw Jim Hughson from TSN sports at HMV, walked in right by me. :)
Was he on Yonge St? :D
