congrats Kalan (but i prefer Theresa's tone)

the crown is Alberta Bound this year, and that's the tune i think they'll appropriately work into the medley (but if it's like my SM Pic Quiz guesses, i'll be wrong again http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Ben Mulroney's quite a character, eh? lol

lol, actually, his dad, former PM, Brian Mulroney and the ageless, Mila where there as was Gord and Meredith http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

they slid in carefree hwy and kaleb's funky sundown (NOT jacob's or kalan's) to a medley

see Canadian Medley Sept 16, Top 10, fyv(viewing)

i guess Meredith became addicted so Gord agreed to take her

...or maybe it was the other way around, lol

he looked great, once again http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

hmmm, drat, still no upload of their Share The Land rendition....quite good, unifying, like the show...i don't know how many shows out there have parents and kids watching together (other than Mr. Dressup, lol)

jj, thanks so much! ...I skipped Canadian Idol last night, so I watched the clip just now.

There's a great shot of Gord and Meredith at about the 5:00 mark.

maybe i've been too sheltered but i confess, i never heard that expression up here before (other numbers, yes) so i've been doing some Fowlesing-around (aka, performing meticulous online research) and now i follow:

>>>
eight·y-six or 86 (t-sks)

tr.v. Slang eight·y-sixed, or 86·ed eight·y-six·ing, or 86·ing eight·y-six·es or 86·es
To refuse to serve (an unwelcome customer) at a bar or restaurant.
To throw out; eject.
To throw away; discard.
-----------------------------------
[Perhaps after Chumley's bar and restaurant at 86 Bedford Street in Greenwich Village, New York City.]

hmm, we need paul harvey to give us the rest of that story!

I almost melted when I heard Theresa sing "Song for a Winter's Night". Beautiful,
she should have won. Too many 13 year old girls with speed dial, I guess.

Song for a Winter's night is on of my favorites, and I think she did a fabulous job on it. I have been playing a cd with both CRT and SFAWN on it and I keep hearing the kids doing CRT (which was really good also) and Theresa doing SFAWN. I think she should have won also. I did read an article though that said she ended up best because she got the exposure and won't be tied down doing what the company wants like kalan will.
Really all did well except Jacob and Sundown. Not my type of music. I didn't really like Elaina's redition of EMR but I liked her voice.

That's it on all counts jj. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif
I was drunk enough to believe we were leaving because we wanted to. One more reason to be glad I don't drink much anymore...3 or 4 times a year, and I'm a one drink woman now.
