I'm curious. Is Gordy of Inuit descent or Scottish/english decent or both?

And I'm hoping for his speedy recovery.

Thanks!

I asked Gordy this question years ago during my visit with him in Denver...and he told me--if my memory serves me right--that he is half Scottish (or "part Scottish")....don't know what the other half would be.

I asked because I think I read long, long ago that he was half Inuit(?) or another tribal heritage. He's such a good looking man.

His father told me that they were originally from England.

I remember an interview years ago in Rolling Stone where GL said he was descended from American colonists (Torries) who emigrated to Canada after the Revolutionary War. He mentioned one of his ancestors was the first white baby born in Orillia. I think the name Lightfoot is Scottish. Pity someone that great is not Irish (just kiddin) Hope this helps

I've heard him say Scottish and not Indian. This was on a radio interview with Gord. I believe it was in the last few years and a St. Louis radio station.
