I was just driving this morning and almost wore out "I'd Rather Press On." I like the rhythm and think it's good for driving!

I still have just a cassette player in my car, and I know the tape is wearing thin there.

What are your favorite GL driving tunes?

"Never Say Trust Me" (The sky above is filled with stars the road is long - no cars are in sight / With one hand on the wheel I've been driving all day I can drive all night / I'm headed for home with one thing on my mind, yeah) and "Restless" (...Will ya get that restless yearning when you hear the wicked blast / Of a spectre from the past / Of a cold diesel rollin' down a road that's built to last....)

I'd Do it Again is also a good road tune... " He was born in the back of a bus on the way to Niagara Falls"

On the long drive to the far reaches of Maine for work, "Hi'way Songs" is my favorite.

"Trains and planes and rented cars"

"When I stand on my own sod
It feels so good to be home, by God
The winter wind has turned my head
But I always came up warm somehow"

That about sums it up for those of us who spent so much time on the road!

If I did drive I'd save playing his music until I could go out driving in the country. Gord's music and the city (except maybe for Salute and East Of M.) just do not go well together. I'd pretty much play any and all of his songs. Music for country-side cruisin'! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif Catch ya on the flipside of Sundown! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif
