Who is Jessi Jo? She was listed in the personal thanks in the liners. Anyone know for sure?

I also think it was his mother. Her name was Jessica.

I kind of wondered who Jessi Jo was myself. I thought she might have been made up. Maybe he should've named the song 'Jessi Jo Said'(sequal to Uncle Toad Said) http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif

Everyone's refering to Jessica in the past tense. Did she pass away recently?

I don't think Jessi Jo is his mother. Her name was Jessie Vick (Trill) Lightfoot, and I've alway seen it spelled as Jessie, not Jessi.
I believe Jessie died in May of 1998.

Wrong, Buster, I am still here.

In real life a flying 5 on the Olfactory stings a little.

Why don't you two (or one) take this hormonally charged immature chat offline? The rest of us don't really want to read it. If you feel you have to tear each other (or yourself) apart, do it through private e-mail and leave the list to the people who want to talk about Lightfoot.

Good idea Cathy,

Or email addresses to each other and go have a real fight like real men or women or 'tweens or whatever the hell you are. It's just boring kids - it may be freakin' hard to believe since you crack yourself/ves up but it's not even funny - not even a little.

Very good idea Cathy,

And sometimes the connection grows stronger the older you get and the more life you've lived. You try and find guidance from your memories of them.

My son has always called me "Mama Jo". I think "Jo" is a common name for "Mom"...or at least in my part of the world.. so maybe Gordon called his mom Jessie Jo. When I listen to the song, I don't think of a bush pilot, I think of a person relating to someone who's judgement can be trusted about dealing with problems which might overwhelm us. Just IMHO.

I've heard of "Jo" being a middle name, but as a first or last name it was always spelled "Joe". http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxing_forum//boxing_forum/Images/General/undecided.gif
