View Full Version : Massey Hall 2005

The dates for the next Massey Hall concerts are May 12, 13, 14, and 15th according to EMP. Don't expect tickets to go on sale before 2005, as that is still not completely carved in stone. If you are still holding tickets for the canceled concerts(s), those will still be honored.
It sounds like there may be a few dates prior to Massey Hall, but right now they still aren't confirmed.

And the ticket answer? Jenney does EMP control the ticket sales and decide when they will go on sale? Very good news thank you for letting the rest of us know.

Massey Hall will be selling the tickets, not EMP. I don't know if you can get them through Ticketmaster or not. If you are interested in getting tickets as early as possible, I would suggest joining as a Friend of Massey Hall, to get the advance ticket sales.
Tickets won't go on sale until sometime in 2005 though, so don't get too excited yet!

Thanks Jenney,
I just signed up for Friends of Massey Hall. It seems like a great way to get first shot at any tickets before they go on sale to the General Public. I'd suggest anyone seriously considering a trip to Massey should join ASAP.

Don't kill the messenger, but the Massey Hall website shows events (other than Gord) on the 12th and 14th of May: http://www.roythomson.com/calendar.cfm

Those are at Roy Thompson Hall, not Massey Hall. The Massey Hall column for that period is empty.

Hey Stationmaster....about your "guitar guy" animation....I had been wondering what ever became of Rick Springfield! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif.

May 2005? I really do want to be there! It'd be a heck of a thing for me to pull off though! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif While I wouldn't mind waiting 'til Gord came here to Phoenix,I'd really like to see him in his home country where he's truly appreciated. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hmmm...maybe I can go on "W.W.T.B.A Millionare?" and win really quick? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/confused.gif
It's along way from AZ to CA(nanda)! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/eek.gif

Hey B, it's even longer from WA state to Toronto. I'm saving. I'm supporting someone else too. If you really, really want it, you can make it happen. It's just choices, that's all http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

I just checked out the Massey Hall site. $80 to become a " friend of Massey Hall" ??
Why should I have to pay $80 for the chance to get good seats? B.S.! I'd be happy to pay more for good seats on a first come first serve basis. Think I'll save the cash and take my chances.

Auburn Annie

Yeah, if this is the only concert you're planning on attending, it's not worth the extra $80. I got my tickets for the cancelled November 2002 show (floor, left, about 8 rows from the stage) AFTER the "Friends of..." tickets went on sale. Which isn't to say you don't need to be quick.

the friends of massey is for patrons who will attend several/many shows/concerts at Massey over the course of the year...not for a one-time ticket buyer.

Well call me crazy, LOL, won't be the first time. It just seems like a good way to get first shot at the really desirable seats. But I'll sit in the 'last row in the balcony' if that's what's available. And it seems like a good cause, supporting a fine old venue.

from the left: Darin Hogan MN, tee shirt supremo, Julie our tour guide a.k.a. Jenney Rivard,CT,
Derek (zippo)Kidd CA,Lynn Oatman NY,Donnie Budd TX,Page Ribe AL, I have no idea who the last two are..Jenney??
In the row behind I believe it is Alan Paynter (Preston,Lancs UK)(No it's not because Al does not have a beard) then in a burgandy shirt Daniel Rosati Hamburg NY
(where the humble hamburger allegedly eminated from) see:- http://www.googlism.com/where_is/h/hamburg,_ny/
today's funny STORY:-
many years ago as an impoverished student I found myself in Hamburg Germany with a pair of poor french students we were hungry
and decided the most likely place for a cheap meal was th main railway/road station. I confidently ordered a hamburger Well
you would wouldn't you?? only to find to my horror that was the local name for an expensive T-bone steak! Not so funny this
was August 1963 and had we explored the Reeperbahn we just might have found the famous places where the Beatles had played a
few years before

I'm not sure what you mean about the person in the picture having a beard - the picture doesn't show a beard, but you were right the first time, that is Alan Paynter http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
