anyone agree that GG2's Pony Man has a good sound if you listen to it at night?

Yep. I used to play it to get one of my young stepdaughters to sleep at night. It got to the point where she expected/demanded it for nighttime and naps as well.
I found that worked for me just fine too. Bedtime became a very relaxing enjoyable experience! It can really put in another space if you let it.

It's great anytime, but night works for me too. We have a handful of horses on our farm, and this tune is a very pleasant way to end the day!

(I'll bet you never knew that a group of horses is called a "handful", now did you? A gaggle of geese, a posse of piranhas, a pride of lions, and a handful of horses...)

Really. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

I look at the two this way. The original makes me think of the sun having just finished going down, like twilight.

The GGII version, illuminated the idea that it's late at night and the kids are having this dream about "The Pony Man". So yes, night time is the right time. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif Also, since #2 is longer,it's a little more intimate too, although I'll never stop liking the 1st. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

I used to play it on my guitar for my daughter when she was a baby. It didn't put her asleep but she had fun picking at the strings! http://www.click-smilies.de/schnellauswahl/musik010.gif
