I have two favorite songs. Carefree Highway brings my feelings out. I interpret it as having problems and wanting to get away from them. The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, more than book or television show can, live the Fitz's last moments.

If you like the Wreck, try the Ballad of the Yarmouth Castle, even better.

One last thought, I think Somewhere U.S.A. slightly edges out Carefree Highway, which is one of my favorites, from the same album.

you know, I think I may agree with you
about 'Somewhere USA'. I love that song!

btw 'Walls' is another longtime fave of mine.
