I wandered to the Harry Chapin website and found several photos with Gord...in pics with James Taylor, John Denver, Waylon Jennings, and Dave Mason. Pretty cool.

I'd love to check this out, but what's the URL?

There are *lots* of Harry Chapin websites!

Here, here, MaryEllen, I spent some little time trawling the various Chapin sites yesterday, trying to unearth these pics, no luck.

Post the URL, please Bill.

Sorry for not posting it before. I found it through the Tom Chapin website which comes up easily in yahoo.

Bill posted the site URL OK
Well yes. Once you have fought your way through the initial flash intro and found/loaded the menu you will end up at a somewhat confusing page of small thumbnails where you have to hover over a set of numbers to see the individual clickable thumbs.May I therefore recommend that to save time you should go directly to the thumbs page at:- http://harrychapinmusic.com/chapin_site2/keepsakes/photogallery/harryandfriends/friends/friends.htm

I thought I had done a good thing...increasingly I find the petty postings on this site a real turn off to participation. Guess I'll return to lurking for the occassional substantive content.

My last post for a good long while.

I feel terrible for maybe inadvertently being the cause of your taking offense and cutting out, Bill. But in rereading the above posts, I swear I can't figure out which one was "petty." Only Dermot and John posted after you gave us the URL (at which time you apparently were OK with our asking for it). Dermot's "1 out of 2..." remark was directed at himself, and his image-posting skills; John's criticism was not directed at you but at the Chapin site's design. So I think you should rethink your initial impression.

Bill, hopefully you will read this. It was never my intention to offend anybody, I can only apologise if I have.

As penance I will remove myself from this site for the next 10 days, bye http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

I don't see where any offence was meant to anyone.

No reason for the penance, come back. I went on the sight and was surprised that the other picture was of Gord smiling, there's not many of those from that time period. I was never a big fan of Harry Chapin musically, but I liked Tom Chapin on cartoon day singing.

Picture #4 is great! The late, great Waylon Jennings, Lightfoot and Chapin.

April 1979-- In April, Lightfoot does a benefit at Nassau County Coliseum in Long Island, NY, with Waylon Jennings, Dave Mason and Harry Chapin for local ballets and symphonies.
