A student in my class told me that her father is a fan and he has Songbook at home. She made me a list of her favourite songs. Thought you'd be interested in the list. I found there were some real suprises in her list of favourties. An asterisk means her very favourite.

For Lovin' Me
Early Morning Rain
Canadian Railroad Trilogy
The Mountains and Maryann
Bitter Green
Mama Said
*Summer Side of Life
Ode to Big Blue
Sundown
Carefree Highway
Seven Island Suite
Cold on the Shoulder
*Summertime Dream
The WOEF
Forgive Me Lord
*Morning Glory
Cold on the Shoulder

Enjoy

That's a dandy list! :) I wish I could get my God-daughter to like just "one"! Not to mention her mother who thinks Gord is "corny". Grrrrr!!!! LOL! :D

My older sister, (well, not that much older... only 1 year), will admit to hating Gordon Lightfoot's music, but possibly because the rest of the family holds him in such high regard. She always did make an effort to be the official black sheep of the family.
She likes opera. Yuk!
I think she was secretly adopted, or something!

Very interesting, Minstrel Man. I noticed the summer theme too, Char.

I think that when it comes to Gord, you either "get it" or you don't, regardless of your age. I feel sorry for the people who don't.
