Okay, folks - where'd it disappear to? It wasn't on Google this morning when I took my usual morning look-see. Any ideas?

Annie,
Try typing
group:
before the alt.music.lightfoot. When I accessed it this morning from my "favorites" list, it had a different format and I noticed the "group:" was now part of the url. All the threads are still there. Just not in the familiar format. Don't know if this is permanent or temp. One never knows with Google.

Thanks, Diane, that worked. I do wish Google would post some sort of notice when they change things like that.

Annie, If you are waiting for Google to introduce efficiency into the equation, you will have long wait.

Sigh. Nope, not waiting, but Google used to be a better site than it's evolved into lately. The more 'valued-added' features, the worse it gets (and this applies to any aspect of life, search engines or anything else.) Simplify, simplify.
