Congratulations! You got 10 right and 0 wrong.
The worst thing about that quiz was having to register first
I think that the final question was the hardest
Otherwise hard to imagine getting any wrong!!
And I suppose dear Witless of Whitby that you are gong to tell us that you got the wrong answer to the key question "who did Gord write "beautiful " for eh?? (which was not asked of course!!!)
John Fowles
Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do "practice"?

I got the EMR question wrong - who sang it first? I had a brain freeze....
All others were PERFECTION!
There's no sense in asking who BEAUTIFUL was written for - it's a well documented fact!

The EMR one was tricky because I don't think many in the US heard the first recorded version, being more familiar with the other (and I'm being deliberately vague in case somebody else want to take the quiz without hints.)
The soundtrack question was a process of elimination; two I knew for certain, one I was pretty certain, and the fourth I never heard of. I guessed right, though.
I wonder how many people they'll have taking the quiz?

From the results page:
"We will be e-mailing the 10 winners their signed copies of Harmony after November 29."
I'd like to see them accomplish that!

absolutely, lsh...let me bore you here...i started off the quiz thinking this will be easy, then realized it was kinda easy but with a few early exceptions it was still quite stimulating for an avid Gord fan (and i certainly don't know diddly compared to what so many of the folks here and at the ng do, then i got some buds who know real lots, like 'unhealthy real lots', lol)...
...but then i got just stupid with the EMR one and it was like getting asked one of those Trivial Pursuit questions where you immediately have your instinct direct you right but then you somehow go against it thinking "well, it can't be that obvious, it must be the other one, they're just trying to suck me in, i'm smarter than that!"... my brain was still having this unfinished discussion but in the time being my mouse was clicking away saying "ok, let's go, next question please"...lol, almost any Canuck GL fan would have heard of WHO and how Gord got that first break or exposure, shame, shame on jj...i'll sleep standing nose in the corner tonight, after re-reading ALL the text at Wayne's site and all the ng postings back to '94, lol
ok, i was still pouting about the EMR one while i was now into the process of elimiation one, but i never read the question really to realize it was process of elimination, i just glanced the choices, "HH" jumped out at me, i went back to the question for a glance and "soundtrack" jumped out at me, then i clicked away again just as my brain was saying "why don't you just take 5 more seconds to read the question" ...funny, so impatient... i had taken 10x as long to register as i gave myself to do the dang quiz, no stamina, premature quizulation...i just wanted my prize ASAP, typical male instant gratification syndrome... well, it also may be shrink time, that or overinhalation of diaper fumes...ok, gotta run, he's right on cue http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

I just took the quiz too! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif 10 for 10!!! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif
The only one I had to really think about was The Edmund Fitzgerald question.
I had to go through 1/2 the song in my head until I hit the line,"Superior it is said never gives up etc. etc....
The question about which movie doesn't have his music was easy. I've seen "Love Story" and remembered it had none of his songs. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
Hope I get a CD out of this! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

I did the quiz too and got all the questions right. But on the final page it said "Congratulations, you got 1 right and 0 wrong." Did anyone else get that or did yours say you got 10 right? Just wondering and hoping there was not a technical glitch. I'd really like that autographed email album.

Well, the contest is over and they notified winners by email sent last night (11/30). There was nothing at all about it at their web site and I started emailing them today to find out the results. They had said to check their site starting on 11/29, and I had been doing that.
Turns out I was one of the winners, but my email was still in my spam blocker folder, which I had not checked this morning.
There were 1301 entries, and 53 with 10 correct. With 10 prizes, that's just under a 20% chance of winning if you got them all correct. I know several other people here had 10 correct. Any other winners?
Gee. This is the second thing I have won in my life. The first was a 25lb turkey, in an IBM cafeteria raffle in about 1975 ...
