Well, that was another close vote. It's high time for another showdown. I'm not sure if this vote will be as close, but I had to pair these songs together because the guitar effect sounds so similar, not to mention that Gord uses his famous and oft used e-based chord for both. Here are the songs. Tell me which you enjoy the most:

Knotty Pine

or

Let it Ride

Could not resist this one. Knotty Pine is a classic, and one of my all time favs.

Knotty Pine. I like the wordplay ("She's knotty but nice") and the imagery. The instrumentation is very evocative; you can almost see the snow glistening in the pure, cold winter sunlight, sharp icicles shimmering and breaking.

Tougher than than the rest, but Knotty Pine is picturesque.

"knotty Pine" took a while to grow on me, but now I love it. However "Let It Ride" beats it for me!

No confusing the lyrics this time!! :D
I choose----> "Let it Ride".
The whole song is 100% fantastic. :)

In "Knotty Pine",I kinda roll my eyes at the line,"She cries turpentine". Sort of gross sounding too. I like the song, just not that line.

I like both songs, but given a choice between the two, it's "Let it Ride."

Don't worry! I've recently started a new job and just got somewhat busy. I will resume the showdowns very soon. Hopefully this weekend. I was greatly intrigued by showdown #10. I thought it would be a "shoe-in" but it was much closer than I imagined. Happy trails :D

Just think of this "pause" in play as Halftime!

Ladies and gentlemen!!!
"The Cheesy Smile/Fashion Nightmare Dancers" are now taking the field for your 1/2 time entertainment! :eek: "Join them in their rousing medley of songs with the word "Sun"! :cool: :D :D

"Please,folks....do not run over our vendors like that." :rolleyes: LOL! :D :D

Let It Ride, which has grown on me because Gord does it so often in concert.

Also, I've been just stateside of the tunnel, which is, BTW, where the "Maritime Sailors' Cathedral" is located. It's not really called that, but I forget the actual name, Mariners' Church, or something like that. So, I can picture the fellow throwin' his stash in the river. Putting his bedroll on the ground might be risky in that neighborhood tho.
