maybe some folks can pitch in a few suggestions each to this 'time-waster' - it's multi-inspired:
- when Deal or No Deal came to Canada, I jokingly urged Char to get on there because she was such a well-rounded Canuck and could say "eh" alot for the producers cos that's the stereotypical stuff they want...from the airing I saw they had a different group of models clad in red (imo, pretty cheesey red) outfits and had a obnoxious Mountie on there and even a guest appearance by Darryl Sittler because one contestant was a big hockey fan...anyhow, Char had her hands full of other stuff and we just never pursued any Canuck gimmick ideas and definitely didn't suggest a GL angle
- the post RMD made regarding coming up with some gimmicky numbers theme related to Gord stuff that Borderstone might pursue - apparently they recently had a Hanson fan on there...I wonder if Gord would appear after all he did the Canadian Idol appearance thing:)
- also inspired by the section of the extensive www.Lightfoot.ca (http://www.Lightfoot.ca) site which lists Lightfoot Geography (http://www.lightfoot.ca/glgeog.htm)
- also inspired by Nanci's (of Sid & Nanci fame, or maybe it's Dan actually;)) creative GL timepiece which has different GL related number references going around an ODR (my fave) LP designating the hours from 1 to 12, for example:

Just looking at this quickly while at work, 14 naturally has to be 14 karat Gold.
I can tell already, it will be a non productive morning at work while I daydream songs and numbers!

I love Howie M. but don't watch any of the DEAL shows..I'm not a gambler and the clips I saw of the Canuck shows were so shlocky they should take Howie's citizenship away..the only redeeming thing was haveing Darryl Sittler on - and that's more of a Toronto factor than a Canuck one.. And Darryl Sittler is always a 'good thing'..

J.J. ,I think the closest I've been to being in Canada is being born in Erie (in a smaller town within called Corry),
watching channel 11 out of Ontario
and my family visiting Niagra Falls when I was 3.
My Dad was from Niagra but on the American side. ;)

I hesitate to bring this back up ( but jj made me feel partially responsible for its existence). I watched the show last night, and envisioned this:
HOWIE : Charlene....pick a case.
CHARLENE : Case number two.
HOWIE : Amber.....open the case....
Now here, instead of the usual highly suspenseful/dramatic music they normally play, one would hear "I'm on my second cup of coffee, still can't face the day"
(Amber emotes)
"I'm thinking of the lady who got lost along the way"
Wouldn't that be great ?

According to "Wayne" in an archived signing of the guest book,Gordon appeared on Channel 11 out of Hamilton/Ontario,on a show called "Club 11 Dance Party" in 1967.
So you can use either Channel "11" (which I'm sure he was on may more times than that)
or "Club 11" Dance Party. :)
#18 can be Waiting For You because that's his 18th official studio album.

Yes< ican submit a tape based on that,I have to rustle up a VHS camera first. They don't accpet discs for some strange reason. :confused:
