I think it would really be fitting if he opens with " Salute" http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Knowing Gord, he probably made a new song for the hospital folk. Could be a new live release... http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Other than that, I will guess "Restless"

"Soiled Linen"?

heh heh, great one, aa! all good ones http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

i think the richness of River of Light would fill every inch of the hall right off the bat with a strong statement, been away from the river too long (whatever that means)

and would love to see Bob Doidge trot over from Grant Ave (i think he goes 24/7) and add some even more colour if they do a few more from Harmony...better yet, the whole album http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

I think, since he is in essence "starting over",he would (and or should) play "Steel Rail Blues" from his 1st LP.

If not going that route, then I'd say "Seven Island Suite". An excellent way to start and show he's still in charge. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif

He should definetly close with "End Of All Time". That's the kind of song that says "big finish". http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif Been me. Later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

I'm just pathetically grateful to be there, and I'll be happy with whatever. Just so grateful that this is happening and he feels well enough to do a concert.

I was listening to Shadows the other day. I think the perfect song to start would be "In my Fashion." The lyrics really work.

In my fashion I have been a good man
I have loved and I have lost
Ever after I will be remembered
In my fashion, in my way

There have been times, I have seen the reaper
In the bad times, and in the good
I have bent down, I have touched the ground
Saying prayers and touching wood

It's also up beat. A good song to get the concert going.
