That song touched my heart and made me think what would I have felt if a family member of mine had been lost like that.I don't think I could have handled the not knowing what caused the ship to sink.Gordon is a great singer and songwriter.It is to bad his music isn't played more than it is here in the States.

I suspect it's just not Gordon Lightfoot a lot of US citizens don't get to hear, I know everytime someone in Yahoo looks at my profile, unless they are Canadian they have no idea who Jann Arden is either.

I very much like this song bc it's something that really happened in history and also in MI.This song was really touching to me. When u listen to the song u can pic the sailors dying on it.
